The Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention is currently seeking workshop proposals for our 2024 Annual DV Conference. Each year, our conference brings together professionals and community members to connect, collaborate, and share ideas for responding to and preventing domestic violence.
Theme: Pathways to Inclusion
This year’s conference theme, “Pathways to Inclusion,” will focus on two key areas:
- Engaging boys and men in the movement to prevent domestic violence.
- Using intersectional approaches in advocacy and prevention for underserved communities.
We invite workshops that align with our theme and highlight the perspectives and experiences of individuals with intersecting identities. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Building partnerships and collaboration
- Children and youth
- Equity and social justice
- Language access
- Policy advocacy
- Primary prevention strategies
- Promoting positive masculinity
- Wellness, resilience, and healing

Proposal Evaluation Process
Our conference planning committee members will review proposals based on these criteria:
- Relevance to the conference theme and objectives.
- Originality and timeliness in addressing current issues/trends.
- Advances knowledge and best practices in the field.
- Whether training on the same/similar topics has recently been offered to our intended conference audience.
